Mike Zimmerman is a partner at Main Sequence, where he leads the Supercharge Industrial Productivity Challenge, and also invests in the Feed 10 Billion People and Next Intelligence Leap challenges. He is a director at Castlepoint Systems, Emesent, Kasada, Lumachain, Loam Bio, Presien, RIOS Robotics and Regrow Ag.
Mike is passionate about supporting founders and their deeptech companies to achieve maximum impact. With more than 25 years of experience as a founder, executive and investor, Mike helps founders with sales and marketing, business models, strategic partnerships, and funding round milestones and construction. On the people side, he also provides counsel around executive recruitment, performance management, and board recruitment and structuring.
Mike also sits on the Board of the Australian Investment Council and is the President of the Board of the Stanford Graduate School of Business Alumni Association.
Mike received his Bachelor of Arts in American Studies from Amherst College and his MBA from Stanford University.
Outside of work Mike is refining his sourdough skills after its fermentation during Covid, doing his best to avoid injuries while exercising around Bondi Beach in Sydney, and trying not to embarrass his kids with his taste in Old School Hip Hop.
